Dave Rehomed
Dave Image 3 On arrival

Dave, or Thunder as he is affectionately known, is ready for rehoming as a potential ride or drive project. After having to endure a very strict weight loss program for several months, he was then able to start on his way with his rehabilitation program. Currently Dave is long reining and lunging with pole work and has had a saddle and bridle on. He has also walked in hand round our local village with other ponies.Hopefully, in the not too distant future, he will be ready to be backed. Thunder is excellent to handle and has taken part in our pony grooming sessions with children where he normally falls asleep! It is essential that he has his grazing restricted and his weight monitored to prevent weight gain and laminitis. Dave will make a lovely family pony in the future.

Excellent to handle but still in the process of learning new skills.

Dave came in to Glenda Spooner Farm in April 2017. He had been abandoned and left to roam in several fields and this resulted in him being extremely obese.
