Apple Rehomed

Introduction

Apple is ready to find a new home as a companion pony and has an excellent temperament. She currently lives on restricted grazing with mares but has also lived with a gelding in the past. It will be important to monitor her grazing well as she is prone to weight gain. She is an easy, sweet and friendly mare who would love a home with someone who is looking for a pony to give lots of attention to and daily cuddles. She could be stabled part time on wood shavings and, if introduced gradually, she could stay on her own for short periods if another horse was ridden. Apple enjoys interaction so could also go for walks in hand.

Temperament

Apple has a calm, sensible attitude and she is good to handle.

History

Apple was found abandoned and emaciated, but heavily pregnant in 2016. Her owner never came forward. Apple gave birth to a healthy colt shortly after her arrival at Hall Farm. She was transferred to Glenda Spooner Farm in March 2019. Apple had started work towards being a driving pony but unfortunately she was not sound enough to continue and after thorough assessment by our vet and physiotherapist, it was decided to take her out of work.

General Information

As with many cobs, the backs of Apples knees and heel areas will need to be looked after in case scabs appear.
