Mavis is a jolly pony. She has previously been rehomed as a youngster and returned to the farm due to the rehomer's change of circumstances. Since being back at the farm Mavis has been backed and she hacks out in walk, trot and canter and will hack out alone or in company. Mavis is very sensible and would suit a nervous rider. She is easy to do in all ways and doesn’t need shoes. Mavis suffered from chronic grass sickness in 2015 and 2016 which she has recovered well from but she will just need to be kept a close eye on when coming into winter and she will require a rug in colder months and possibly a feed. Mavis can carry 60kg including the weight of a saddle.
Poor Mavis had a dreadful start to life being badly neglected and has also suffered a mild bout of suspected chronic grass sickness.
