Ziggy is ready to be rehomed as a companion horse. She is an affectionate lady who would love a quiet home with someone who can devote plenty of time to her. She currently lives out and would need a New Zealand rug in winter. Ziggy loves to socialise, but could live in part time. If another horse was ridden, she could stay on her own for short periods if this was introduced gradually. She will need to have her feet trimmed and balanced every 6 weeks by a registered farrier and supplementary hay in the winter. We would love to find her a quiet home with someone who has one or two other horses and experience of handling bigger horses. Sadly, she is unable to be ridden due to mild lameness when in work.
Sweet natured but would suit a home with someone who has experience of big horses.
Ziggy came to Glenda Spooner Farm in autumn 2014. After her initial period of assessment and handling, she went out to a home as a companion but sadly returned due to her rehomer's circumstances changing.
