Elmo would love to find a home where he can start to learn more about life, have a small amount of handling daily and equine friends to play with and bond with. He is a sociable chap and due to his poor start in life, has had lots of TLC so is happy to have attention thrown upon him. He is a typical youngster so although normally quiet, he does need to have his boundaries kept in place so consistency in his handling will be important to reassure him if he is worried about new things. Elmo currently lives out on normal grazing but may need this restricting in the future. He could be stabled part time if introduced to it gradually, at present he always has company when he comes in. Elmo has the potential to be backed as a riding pony in the future and has a predicted height of about 14hh. For now, he could participate in low level agility or in hand showing when settled. We are looking for an experienced home for Elmo where he can enjoy his growing up but still continue to learn.
Elmo is very good to handle despite his young age.
Elmo came in to our care in January 2020 as part of a welfare concern. He was very thin, riddled with lice and generally in a very poor condition for a young pony.
