Rudy is a striking welsh pony that is ready to find a new home as a youngster where he will see lots of new things. Rudy was very shy when he arrived at Belwade Farm but with quiet and consistent handling he is beginning to grow in confidence. He will need a confident handler to continue with his education as he can still be nervous in new situations. Rudy will take a bit of time to settle into a new routine and may be a little worried to catch for a new handler. Once he gets to know someone, he is a friendly wee pony and is lovely to be around. He makes a special bond with his handler and is extremely affectionate when he trusts someone. Due to his worried nature he needs another year to mature before beginning any work. He may have the potential to be backed to ride in the future if his confidence continues to grow. If he is backed to ride, he will have a maximum saddle and rider weight limit of 60kg. Rudy is very well behaved for the vet and farrier. He is currently living out with a group of geldings and gets along brilliantly with his field mates. Rudy is often found playing in the field so would love a home with other young ponies. Please apply online if you think you could offer Rudy a brilliant new home where he will be given the attention he deserves.
Rudy is an adorable pony but can be a little shy until he gets to know someone.
Rudy came into World Horse Welfare care in September 2019 as part of a welfare case. He was part of a successful, large prosecution case involving more than 40 ponies in total. He was very timid on arrival at Belwade Farm.
