Adelaide is an adorable wee pony that is looking for a new home as a companion. She came to Belwade Farm as part of a welfare group and was completely unhandled on arrival. Adelaide is turning into an inquisitive and friendly youngster but will need someone experienced to continue building her confidence in a new home. She is well behaved for both our vet and farrier. Adelaide is happy to live out in a mixed herd and does not need her grazing as restricted as a typical Shetland pony. Unfortunately, Adelaide does not have good conformation and we do not think it would be fair to break her in as a child’s pony once mature. She will however make someone a lovely companion. Her character is really starting to shine through, and Adelaide is turning into a typical cheeky Shetland pony. If you could offer this lovely little pony a new home as a companion, please submit an online application.
Adelaide is a sweet little pony but can be a bit shy with new people. Once she knows you she soon comes out of her shell and is a typical cheeky Shetland.
Adelaide was one of a group of 7 Shetland X ponies that came into Belwade Farm in October 2018. They were all completely unhandled on arrival.
