Merlin - full profile

Introduction

**** Due to the large number of applications we have received we are currently no longer accepting new applications for Merlin. This is to give our rehoming team time to thoroughly assess those who have applied in order to ensure a good match, as well as progressing the rehoming of other horses. We are sorry for any disappointment this may cause. **** Merlin is now ready to rehome as a Hacking/Pleasure ride pony. Merlin is ridden regularly either in the school for some light schooling or out hacking, but he much prefers to hack. He would be perfect for someone who wants to regularly hack more than school and who enjoys going out for long hacks and possibly take part in some pleasure rides as well. Merlin is better hacked in company as he can lack confidence on his own. He gets on very well with other horses and he is good to catch, handle and lead. He is good for the vet and farrier. If you think you can offer Merlin a home, please apply online.

Temperament

Merlin is very friendly and loves attention.

History

Merlin came into Penny Farm in February 2018 as a completely unhandled stallion. He came into our care after a large group of ponies were found not to be receiving the correct care. Our field officers found ponies underweight and with heavy worm burdens.
