Crackerjack is ready to find a new home as a companion with potential. He is very polite, stands in a stable quietly and would happily stay on his own if another horse was ridden. He will need to be in a field with other geldings only as he was gelded late, however he has had mares in the field next to him. Crackerjack has built up a strong bond with his handler and we would be looking for someone who has time to do this in a home. He was unhandled on arrival and very sensitive. Over time he has built up confidence with a good routine, quiet handling and praise. He will need restricted grazing to control his weight so a home where he can graze with ponies needing the same management will be perfect. Physically, there is no reason why, in the future, Crackerjack can't be backed to ride but for now, he can settle into a home, walk out in hand or participate in horse agility or in hand showing when the time is right.
Very curious but sensitive. Quiet handling and a good routine are required for Crackerjack.
Crackerjack came in to our care as an entire stallion with several other ponies due to their owners health deteriorating.
