Patch is an adorable cob that is ready to find a loving new home where he can be a companion to other ponies. Patch is a handsome skewbald gelding and is a very special boy as he only has one eye, which does not seem to affect him in the slightest. Patch came into World Horse Welfare care after he was found abandoned with a severe eye injury. His left eye was successfully removed, and he has had no further problems. Patch is extremely friendly and sociable but can be little spooky on occasions due to his limited sight. Patch is definitely a favourite here at the farm and is so lovely to spend time with. He is brilliantly behaved for the vet, farrier and will stand for hours to be brushed. Patch really enjoys attention so would be best suited to a home where he will receive lots of pampering and a fuss being made of him. He does have a cheeky character so will need a home where boundaries will be set to keep his manners in check. Patch is currently living out full time and is more than happy to live with mares or geldings. He is a typical cob and gains weight extremely easily so will need to be kept on restricted grazing. If Patch was given time to settle into a new home, he may be suitable to be left on his own in a stable whilst his friends were ridden. If you think you could offer Patch the brilliant new home that he deserves, please apply online.
Patch is a sweet, gentle pony, but can be a little spooky due to only having one eye.
Patch came into Penny Farm after he was found abandoned with a severe eye injury. His eye was subsequently removed. Patch was transferred to Belwade Farm in April 2019 to free up space at Penny Farm.
