Primes or Lilo as she is known at the farm is a very pretty mare that is ready to be rehomed as a pleasure competition pony. With the right rider we think she could go out and do a little bit of everything. She is a forward going pony that can be sharp to ride which is why we are looking for a confident, experienced rider to bring her on. Lilo came in as part of a welfare group and was backed here at the farm so she is still green in areas of her ridden work. She has some scarring to the corners of her mouth from an old injury and due to this she is sensitive to ride and will need a sympathetic rider to bring out the best in her. Lilo is schooling well and will happily hack out alone and in company. She can become excited when out hacking and become quite strong which is why she would be better suited to an older teenager or adult rider. Lilo has just begun some pole work and popped a small jump so she will need someone experienced to bring on her jumping. She loves attention however she can be a bit of a madam with other horses and likes to be in charge in the field. Lilo can be a typical moody mare and will not be suitable living in a herd with geldings. Her combined saddle and rider weight limit is 73kg. Lilo is not a novice ride so is not suitable for a nervous or inexperienced rider. As with most native types Lilo gains weight very easily so will need a home where she can be kept on resticted grazing. If you think Lilo sounds like the right pony for you please submit an online application for her.
Primes is a friendly, affectionate mare but can be very stubborn at times. She is bossy with other horses and likes to be the dominant mare in the field.
Primes came into the charity as part of a welfare group.
