Alyn is ready to find a new home as a non ridden companion. Despite his young age, he has taken to all his handling skills really well and is a polite young man who loves equine company and interaction from his handler and enjoys nothing better than a cuddle and a groom. He currently lives out with a small group consisting of mares and geldings but has also spent time in a stable as part of his rehabilitation. Sadly Alyn has poor hind limb conformation which makes it unlikely he would be able to pursue a ridden career in the future but it would be wonderful if, once settled, he was introduced to walking in hand, low level horse agility or potentially in hand shows. These are all useful life skills for a youngster, plus at the same time Alyn can get to know his rehomer and new equine friends and build up his new routine at home.
Very good to handle but needs to have a consistent routine for continuity while maturing
Alyn arrived at Glenda Spooner Farm in August 2017 with several other ponies who were all very underweight, riddled with lice and generally in poor condition.
