Ashlee is ready to find a home as a non ridden companion. He currently lives out 24/7 with other geldings but would stable part time if needed or if another pony was ridden. Although only young, he is very good to handle and with our specialists and has taken to all his handling tasks very well. Over the last year, Ashlee has built up a relationship with his handler and it will be important that we find him a home with someone who can dedicate a little time to him daily to build up a bond. Although he is very quiet, Ashlee's confidence has taken time to build and he has gained trust through continuity in his handling and an understanding of equine body language. A quiet, adult home with one or two friendly, confident ponies or horses would be perfect for Ashlee.
Ashlee is very quiet but sensitive.
Ashlee came into Glenda Spooner Farm in December 2016 with two other colts and a cob stallion having been signed over to World Horse Welfare. Sadly their owner had health issues and was unable to care for them any more. Ashlee was entire but after a settling in period, he was gelded at the centre.
