Tantana is ready to be rehomed as a non ridden companion. We are looking for a special home for this lovely lady in a quiet environment where she will enjoy the equine company of one or two calm horses or ponies. Her rehomer must be able to dedicate the time to establish a good bond with Tantana and must possess sound equine knowledge to ensure that Tantana's emotional and physical needs are met. She currently lives out 24/7 but could be stabled part time in a routine if needed. The ideal field set up for Tantana is with one or two other horses which best suits her temperament, rather than turn out in a large group. She could also stay on her own for short periods if another horse was ridden. She wears a New Zealand rug in cold weather and a stable rug at night. Tantana deserves to find a long term home where she can settle into a routine with lots of attention, plenty of grazing time and bond with her handler and new equine friends.
She has a sweet temperament, but requires a competent adult handler and a consistent routine.
Tantana arrived with several other horses after their elderly owner suffered a fall and was no longer able to care for them properly. The group had spent a significant amount of time in stables and were in poor condition. Tantana has undergone a long and intensive rehabilitation at the centre, including a strict physiotherapy program to build up muscle strength and training to enable her to integrate into a normal routine successfully.
