In her previous life, Abbey was raced and subsequently used as a broodmare. When she arrived at Belwade however, she was in a very poor state. Happily her condition has improved and Abbey is a delightful horse to have around. She is a very friendly, sociable mare, loves her friends and mixes with mares and geldings. Abbey has an old injury which means that she cannot be ridden, but which does not cause her any trouble as a companion to others. Abbey will need to wear a turnout rug in the winter to keep her warm and maintain her condition. She is easy to do in all respects, but should not be left alone as she can become very stressed without her friends. We would love to hear from you if you are able to offer Abbey the wonderful home that she deserves.
She is very easy to do, but can become stressed if she is left by herself.
Abbey came in as part of a welfare group, She was very underweight on arrival.
