Mulan is a quiet and friendly mare who is looking for a home with a special handler who she can develop a strong bond with. She will thrive in a place where she will be able to meet lots of new equine friends while she grows and matures. It is important to remember that she will be wary of new people and in new situations to begin with. Mulan has a very good relationship with her current handler, but it took time to gain her trust as she was unhandled and without any education. Since her arrival, Mulan has mastered a variety if skills and has now learnt all about being caught and to lead on her own and with another pony. She has had routine visits from the vet and farrier and will stand quietly in the stable for short periods munching through a haynet. Mulan will appreciate someone who has a broad experience of handling youngsters and who is able to continue building her confidence with every day tasks. Mulan has a predicted height of around 13hh.
She is very good to handle, but needs time to build confidence in new situations and with new people.
Mulan arrived at Glenda Spooner Farm in January 2017 with a large group of young horses, mares and foals. She was unhandled and very wary of people.
