Quaver is looking for a new home as a companion / project pony. When he came to Penny Farm in May 2016 he was a completely unhandled, wild pony. He had had no handling at all and was very scared of anyone coming near him. He has undergone an intensive rehabilitation programme and is now at the point where he is looking for someone who has the time and ability to give him structure and routine in a new home. Quaver currently lives out with a group of other horses and comes in a few times a week to be groomed. He leads well to and from the field and, with a calm and reassuring handler, he is good to groom and pick out his feet. Quaver has a kind nature, but can become unsure when he gets scared. He would be an ideal pony for someone who would like a project and will enjoy seeing the positive progression and bond that can be developed with him. He does need holding with the farrier, but if you are calm and quiet with him he will just stand quietly. Once Quaver gets to know you, his cheeky, kind nature really begins to shine through. If you are interested in Quaver please apply online.
He is a kind pony, but is still nervous.
Quaver arrived with a large group of other ponies after their welfare became a concern.
