Bourbon is a pretty little girl who is very good to handle providing firm boundaries are set and adhered to from the start. Bourbon can only be a companion as she has arthritic changes in one of her stifles, which means that she does not stand up to being ridden/worked. She is a wonderful companion and is happy in a field with her friends as she is a very sociable mare. Bourbon is good to do in all ways, but would be suitable for a more experienced handler as she can sometimes throw her weight around.
She is a friendly pony and is generally good to handle if firm boundaries are set from the start.
Bourbon was found with a group of 30 other horses and ponies. There were skeletons of dead horses in the field and Bourbon herself was emaciated.
